Money and exchange facilities
The currency used in The Islands of Tahiti is the the Pacific franc (international abbreviation: XPF).
ATTENTION: Only coins from the new range will be authorized as of November 30, 2022.

The following forms of payment are accepted: all legal currencies, international credit cards, travellers’ cheques (a commission is charged to exchange these). At Tahiti-Fa’a’a airport, an exchange office is opened at the arrival and departure times of international flights.
